Safer roads
for everyone
for everyone
Safety is at the core of everything we do at Gatik. It is integrated into every aspect of our technology and business operations – from our system design to our customer deployments.
Five core safety pillars guide our world-class team in developing and deploying technology that is improving roadway safety for all.
Structured autonomy
5 safety pillars
Safety 01
Structured use case
Our unique approach to structured autonomy enables safe and expeditious deployment of commercial operations. By constraining the operating environment, we outperform traditional approaches to deploying autonomous vehicles.
Safety 02
Fail-safe design
Gatik’s autonomous driving platform is built to ensure safety, both proactively and reactively. We employ a custom-tiered diagnostics system approach, inspired by automotive and aviation built-in-self-tests (BISTs), designed to proactively catch and nullify hardware, software, or vehicle platform issues.
Safety 03
Developed for scale
Gatik adopts three validation and verification methods: virtual testing (simulation), operating on closed tracks, and deploying on public roads with a safety driver. This ensures our technology is validated and responsibly updated and released, while verifying safe operations throughout on-road deployment.
Safety 04
Reliable performance
We employ a range of best practices for our processes, employees, technology, equipment, and facilities including: Benchmarking our performance against human-based driving metrics, following a strict operations plan before deployment on public roads, and ongoing training and certification for our vehicle operators.
Safety 05
Comprehensive & transparent
We firmly believe that an autonomous vehicle can be qualified to run on public roads only after it has been thoroughly evaluated by dedicated testing procedures across the system, subsystem, and hardware and software levels.
